Bread baking made easy is 'pan de agua' or water bread from Puerto Rico

This days bread baking adventure all started with a leftover pack of yeast that I had in the fridge. I checked the expiration date and is was good until next month. I added it to some warm water to get started on a recipe from Puerto Rico called 'pan de agua' or water bread.

Ingredients * 1/4 cup warm water * 1 pkg dry yeast * 1 tsp sugar * 3/4 tsp salt * 1 Tbsp shortening * 2 1/2 cups dlour * 3/4 cup whole wheat flour * 1 cup hot water * 1 more Tbsp sugar

Add 1 tsp sugar to warm water and add yeast pack. Let it develop for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, mix together shortening, salt, sugar and hot water. After it cools a bit, add the yeast mix. Then add the flours and mix everything together well. On a floured counter, knead for a few minutes and place dough in a bowl for about an hour, until doubled in size.
